"Pretty Woman: The Musical" brings the beloved 1990 romantic comedy to life on stage with captivating performances and catchy music. The show stays true to the essence of the film while adding its own theatrical flair.

Amber Davies as Vivian Ward

Understudy for the evening Rebekah Bryant shines as Vivian, capturing the spirit and vulnerability of Julia Roberts' iconic character. Oliver Savile delivers a charismatic performance as Edward, bringing depth to the role made famous by Richard Gere. Their chemistry on stage is palpable, drawing the audience into their whirlwind romance.

The vocal range and singing performance of Natalie Paris' character of Kit De Luca was also superb.

The person who gave us tremendous enjoyment and was the cog in the Pretty Woman musical machine was Giulio played by Noah Harrison. A very comedic performance, and timing of perfection when delivering his actions on stage, he bought the house down so to speak.

The energy and stage presence of Ore Oduba's Happy Man/Mr Thompson's characters are there to see also. There's even a little nod to Ore's previous appearance on "Strictly".

The production features high-energy musical numbers that enhance the storytelling, with standout performances such as "I Can't Go Back" and "You're Beautiful." The set design effectively transports the audience to the bustling streets of Los Angeles, while the costumes evoke the glamour of 1980s fashion.

Overall, "Pretty Woman: The Musical" at the Regent Theatre is a joyful and entertaining experience that will leave fans of the film feeling nostalgic and newcomers enchanted. It's a feel-good production that reminds us of the transformative power of love and self-discovery.

Pretty Woman: The Musical is at the Regent Theatre in Hanley until Saturday 20th July.
